TOP STUDENTS HONORED Dear Diary, As a student of Davis County High, I have taken required and ad- vanced courses including business, home economics, and art. I was treasurer of Student Council dur- ing my freshman year and a mem- ber of the choir for one and a half years. I participated in the South Central Conference Math Contests and Academic Festivals in Kirksville for three years. For two years, I was a member of the National Honor Society. I plan to attend Indian Hills Com- munity College and major in Ac- counting. I owe the honor of being class valedictorian to my Father above. Suzanne Wilcox Dear Diary, I was selected as the 1986 Co- Salu- tatoriam My parents are Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Kinney. I was a member of the Bloomfield chapter of the Future Farmer of America, serving as an officer and placing in two state contests. I was also a member of the National Honor Society. 1 also participated in the Academic Festival in Kirks- ville, where I placed first. I also re- ceived a first place at the conference Math contest. I was further hon- ored by being chosen to represent the REC in conjunction with their summer youth tour of Washington, D.C. In the fall I will be leaving Davis County to attend Iowa State Uni- versity, Ames to major in Agricul- ture Engineering. Gerald Kinney Dear Diary, I was chosen one of the salutatori- ans of the class of 1986. My parents are Roger and Nancy Musselman. During my high school career, I was involved in school and com- munity activities. I was a member of the National Honor Society, par- ticipated in both the State Future Solving Bowl and the Iowa Aca- demic Decathlon, and was named to the Des Moines Register's All- State Academic Honor Roll. As a member of the F.F.A., I was a state winner of numerous public speak- ing and livestock judging contests. I was named the Star Southeast District Farmer and was elected to serve as State Secretary for the 12,000 members of the Iowa F.F.A. Association.
