ROTARY STUDENT HEDDE ERICSSON Hedde spent December, January and February with Carol Butch Priester and his family. The Pries- ters enjoyed learning about Swed- ish Christmas customs and life styles. The Priesters also intro- duced Hedde to our traditional cus- toms of America and to their own tradition of hanging the tree. The Priester's daughters learned what it was like to truly have a big sister . I am writing this farewell letter on the day of graduation- the last day for the 1986 seniors. Tomorrow we are all off searching for our future. I will go my way and you will go yours. Maybe our roads will cross and we will meet again, maybe someday, maybe someway. This year went fast and I made a lot of friends that I will never forget. I want to thank you all for being here this year and making it a great memory in my life. My time and space are running out so I just want to say that I will miss you all. I have many fond memories of Da- vid High and I hope you have fond memories of me too. -Hedde Hedde arrived a couple of weeks before school started, she had a lit- tle time to rest from her trip from Sweden, which had included a few days in New York City. Hedde was excited when we registered her for her classes and she could hardly wait for school to start. (She was Qtedle QYl. (Sricsion enjoyed having Hedde live with us. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn about Sweden from our extra daughter , as she liked to call her- self. Mr. and Mrs. John Schroeder thrilled when she registered by her nick name instead of her given name, Hedvig, which she said sounded like the name of an old person.) Every day she came home from school looking forward to the next. During the time she lived with us, Hedde participated as a member of the cast of the commu- nity players' production of My Fair Lady . Hedde loved music and enjoyed the chance to pursue this activity, though I know the late hours of rehearsal really tired her. For us, one of the highlights of Hedde's year was the visit by her parents in April. What a joy it was to have these delightful people who so generously shared their daugh- ter with Davis County.
