Mr. Jim Carlisle, Mr. Ron Johnson, and Mr. Jim England. Davis High’s Practice Teachers During the third six weeks, three seniors from the Northeast Missouri State Teachers College completed their required practice teaching in Davis High. They were Mr. Jim Carlisle, Mr. Ron Johnson, and Mr. Jim England. Mr. Carlisle taught in the English II and English III classes, under the watchful eyes of Mrs. Thompson and Miss Weber. Mr. Johnson was the student teacher in both instrumental and vocal music. Giving assist- ance when needed were Mr. Jones and Mr. Gentry. In the physical education classes, Mr. England taught and he helped Mr. Thurness with the weight lifting course after school. Mr. Gene Wagler, Mr. Ronald Lawson, Mr. Bernard Thomas, Mr. Mike Perry, Mr. John Whitlock, and Mr. Frank Libe were practice teachers during the sixth six weeks. Mr. Wagler and Mr. Lawson were teachers in Mr. Thurness' physical education classes. They also assisted the coaches during track. Mr. Thomas was in the business department. He taught in Mrs. Kirk’s, Miss Ritzinger's, and Mr. Francis' classes. Mr. Perry taught Mr. lleald's American Government and Eco- nomics classes. Mrs. Boley's science classes had Mr. Libe as teacher during the six weeks. In the industrial arts classes, Mr. Whitlock was the teacher. Front row: Mr. John Whitlock, Mr. Frank Libe.
