Did fall mean the beginning of school? Yes, Mr. Pioneer, but it meant other things, which are characteristic of Davis High. There was the first football game, the Junior Class Play, and the Home- coming activities --all these we'll never forget! The year's at the spring And day's at the morn; Morning's at seven; The hillside's dew-pearled; The lark's on the wing; The snail's on the thorn; God's in his heaven-- All's right with the world! - -Browning 5

We've tried to paint the picture of our building for you just as we have seen it throughout the year. We found ourselves falling back on pictures and verse to aid us in this task. To us, Mr. Pioneer, each season meant more than a change in tempera- ture and scenery. To us winter was not the coming of ice and snow; rather it meant that the basketball season was soon to reign as king of sports for a few short months. We looked forward to that first home game with great anticipation; the exhibition by the Sweet Six- teen added a glamorous note; and finally, those after-game dances will not be forgotten. Winter also meant that the first semester was soon to come to an end; Christmas vacation was to be a welcome relief from busy classroom activities. Winter, no matter where we are, will always bring back these memories and many more; all of them made our winter at Davis High a pleasant and profitable one. 4

Agriculture I boys learn to do by doing. History students keep up with location of current events. CLASSES were the most important part of our years at Davis High. We spent six long hours of each day in the toil, and sometimes drudgery, of class work; in spite of all this, before we knew it another year had passed. Of course, there was time out for activities--plays, assemblies, pep meets, and shows. But always there was that pile of books waiting.
