i 5 Striving to Reotch the Top The D.C.H.S. Vocal Department is made up of some of D.C.'s most tal- ented students under the direction of Mrs. Sheila Miller. There are three main areas of this department, consisting of Choir, Girls Chorus, and Madrigal. These groups participated in many fund raising projects such as selling M 84 M's, pineapples, oranges, and grapefruits. To encourage people to sell more, Mrs. Miller said that anyone selling at least S250 worth of fruit could throw a pie at her. lt worked-about 20 people got this honor. Choir and Madrigal members pre- sented many concerts throughout the year, plus competing in many contests and 2 KMEA festivals.
