The girls enjoyed making new friends among themselves and went on to win the Western Tarheel Cheerleading Squad Award. We are all proud of our girls. Seventy Well | Never! Although the team didn’t ac- complish its goal, they gave it all they had. Please come out and support the guys next year because they are young and will be back next season after the championship! The girls participated in Division Three of the NCAIAW. Which included all four year schools. The girls gained valuable ex- perience even though their won-lost record didn’t show it. The team will have six returning players full of devotion. Next year looks like a bright year for the woman’s basketball program. The club and class joined together and performed six plays. During all the late night and week-end rehearsals we all dis- covered the closeness between us.
