Time dulls all things. Names are forgotten, faces be- come hazy, and events lose their singularity as they become wedged tighter and tighter among our ever-grow- ing store of past occasions. ) es, in time, even the David- son Spirit fights an oft-time losing struggle for its right- ful place in our hearts. Precious memories drop forgotten by the wayside as wt rush onward through the years . . . onward through life. . . The time, the labor, and the thought that has gone into the preparation of these pages has been done in the hope that you will enjoy browsing through them, and that it may afford for you an occasional happy hour or so — not only now, but especially in the years to come, when memories shall have become important. Four fast years — and the Class of 1950 is no more. Four years that started with the slowness and uncer- tainty of a newborn babe, that gradually accellerated — with the loosening of home ties, bonding of new friend- ships and creation of new interests — and finally, with a whirlwind of senior activity, built themselves swiftly to a climax, and equally as swiftly passed on. . . Memories aren ' t important at first. Names, faces, and events are too indelibly imprinted on the minds and hearts of us all, as a part of our immediate existence. For four years we have lived Davidson — in the classes, in the dorms, the athletic field, at the dances. The David- son Spirit is a part of us — not a memory. No, memories aren ' t important at first. . .
