o ulembers of Uke CiadA of 1950 My dear Friends; As you come to the conclusion of your college careers, it must seem to you, as to all ot us in the Faculty and Administration, a surprisingly brief journey. Viewed in prospect it appears as a long trek; ' ie ved in retrospect it is surprisingly brief and fleeting. To us who continue at the College, hardly do we come to feel that we know you personally and to depend upon your leadership before vou are ready to graduate and become alumni. I cannot adequately express either the friendship I feel for you gentlemen or the high hopes I entertain for you as you go out to take vour places in your chosen ' ocations. Your Alma Mater has sought to do for you, imperfectly I know but sincerely, the best she could to equip you in mind and in character for the journey which lies ahead. It will be given you to liye through formative years in the history of the world. Whether you live conspicuously or obscurely it is my confidence that you will live creatively.
