However, a cut and dried existence day in and day out would be listless drudgery, livery day you learn something new from the adminis- tration. Irom the professors in the class room, from your classmates, from your organizations and traternities. and from every phase of campus life. It really would be impossible to say that every day is the same at Davidson. The informalities of these days is ofTset by a spiritual high-mindedness and a valued culture, which are yours to gain and which belong as rightfully to you as they do to the institution. These are much too intangible to be set forth in pictures; but keep them in mind, and as you peruse these pages, may you be reminded of vour best days at Davidson.

' ' you may as well go. you can ' t study in the daytime first you ' d better go by the bank and deposit that check Dad sent this morning after the show a work-out in the old gym then a good hot shower, just the thing to make you enjoy supper and then get down to some faithful study and you do start out all right, but after a while, someone yells down the hall. Let ' s cut a coke the Stud Store beck- ons and you succumb the night ' s young, and you can ' t finish everything you started discussing at the Stud right away a healthy bull ses- sion is in order .11:30 and three hard lessons to get up you might as well wait, until the Midnight Hoot-Owl comes on over WBT . . . nodding over your desk at 1:20 another five
