In confirmation of the adage when the cat ' s away the mice will play, the Sophs enjoy the Doctor ' s absence. The report from the Fresh is not so favorable. vSept. 25. Senior picnic. Three wagon-loads of Seniors accompanied by the young ladies of the village take a three mile drive to Center church-yard, have lunch there and returning by Mr. Reed ' s, where they enjoy some hinging, reach Davidson about 10 o ' clock at night. Bunch Stokes surprises the party by engaging in a bit of romance. Everybody had a nice time, but all rec- ommend that we take our next picnic excursion in pa ace cars run by a different company from Brady ' s. Oct. I. Hewitt is elected manager of the foot ball team, Smith, H. G., Captain, McConnell Assistant Captain.
