Walt Voorhis was among the ninth grade Congress
presentatives who helced resolve school problems,
EHTNS Atomic World" was the theme for an assembly
held November 5 discussing many topics on atomic energy,
the energv crisis, and nuclear power plants and their
effect on the environment. E ln the ninth grade Blue-Gold
Football Game, Gold, led by Walt Voorhis and Anthony
Servillo, was stunned by Blue's victory in a closing I3-6.
Blue captains were Pat Davis and Pat McDonald.
Mothers and their daughters engaged in different activities
including a lock-alike contest at the Mother-Daughter
Banquet November l4. For the first time Knights were on
hand to serve as waiters. Some of the winning participants
were the Baileys, the Nelsons, the Gcodins, the Frankians,
and the Cormansm Eighth grade Gold won over the Blue
in football with a 25-12 win November l5. Most valuable
players were John Prince an offense and Gil Tob-on on
defense They also served as Gold captains while Bob
Atkisson and Ron Galbraith led the Blue, RN the Red
and White Assembly November 15 the pep squad from
Burroughs tried to arouse interest in the Burbank-'Burroughs
game that night.

E Winners at the Fall Drama Festival held at Excelsior
Higih in Norwalk were Group Serious which featured
Madeline Calabrese, Laura Campbell, Lucy Rodriguez,
Dean Townsend, Lynn Easley, Julie Larsen, and Lenora
Hennessy. They took a second place while Priscilla Linn
took a third in Individual Pantomime. mStudents and
teachers were sold into slavery at the Scholarship Slave
Sale November 2l s'Basketboll free-throw and table
tennis were among the lunchtime activities November 2l
and 22 when Cabinet sponsored a new event to bring
more interest to the usual lunch period. E White surprised
Blue by taking the Blue-White Volleyball Game 2-l.
Captain Guidnia Arancibia led the White team to victory
and Teri Husbands led the Blue team in the November 20
clash. EThe Fabulous Faculty Women whipped the White
twice in volleyball November 22 witih scores ot l5-8 and
i5-6. Kiltfhile the ninth grade girls were in the gym
losing to the Faculty Women, the ninth grade Blue boys
were holding their own on the football field in an encoun-
ter with the Fabulous Faculty Men, The final score was
