The Season in Review The Jordan Varsity made its season debut at the Wilbur Basketball Tournament where they won one, tied won and lost three of the short, quarter long games. After this they went on through their season with a three won, seven lost record The Light- weights did better, finishing their season with a Five won, six lost record. George Sensabaugh, Dick Ashworth, Bob Talbott, Buck Sammis, Tom Crofut, Frank Place, Steve Wilson, john Worthington, Mgr. Owen Mercer. Season's Highlights Early in March the Jordan baseball team was formed under the direction of Coach Mark Christine. With only a few days of practice behind them, the Dolphins met their first opponent,Menlo Atherton, and lost, ll-2. Jordan met Sequoia next, and lost, this time by an ll-3 score. The Dolphins showed great improvement in their third game of the season against Bellarmine and won, 9-4. With two-thirds of the season still to be played, it appeared that the steadily improving Dolphins had finally found the winning combination. Sparked by the battery of Bob Talbott, catcher, and Rick Malloch,pitcher, along with the steady play of First baseman Bill Turner, the club looked forward to a promising season.
