'l'llll Sllzlsllll IN REVIEW The Jordan Varsity certainly deserves congratulations for the excellent iob they did this year under the Fine leadership of head coach Bob Cavender. I ln their season opener against Sequoia the Dolphins coasted to an easy 38-0 win. This opening game omen proved to be agood one, and the Dolphins rode through the season with a six won, one loss record. The Dolphin attack, led by Bud Linsley, beat the Bellarmine Bells in an exciting i3-7 game. Linsley scored both Jordan touchdowns in this game, whichwas our only night game of the season. Our Varsit then teamed up with the Lightweights for an easy victory over the Paly High Sophs, with the finarlscore in this game standing at 28-13. Jordan's record was marred by Menlo Atherton, in agame which marked the Dolphins' First and only loss of the season. With the M.A. Bears leading by T9 points at the start of the Fourth quarter the Jordan attack came back under John McGregor and Rich Wilkersen, to score T3 points and encl the game in a i9-I3 loss. With Wilkersen leading the Jordan attack, the Dolphins scored an easy victory over the Sunny- vale Jets. Wilkersenwas the game 's high scorer, running for two touchdowns and passing for a third six pointer, which brought the final score to 26-I4. The Jordan eleven met the Wilbur Warriors at Paly High's Hod Ray Field for their Final game of the season. Basing their attack on the single wing, the Dolphins scored late in the first quarter on an aerial from John McGregor to Wilkersen who theh lateraled to Bob Talbott who went over for a six pointer. But the Warriors finally scored in the second quarter to go ahead 7-6. Wilkersen regained the lead for Jordan, scoring in the third quarter from the one yard line. Again the Jordan conversion was not good. But once again Wilbur came back and scored late in the same quarter to go back out in front by one point, I3-l2. Then withafew minutes left in the game, John McGregor passed from the i5 yard stripe to Bob Biorn who went over for the final tally of the game.
