Marching Band Lends Color To Games, Rallies During the fall, the Panther Marching Band participated at all football games, performing a different half-time show at each home game. In addi- tion, the band marched in several parades, including the Montebello Royale Parade, and the San Pedro Christmas Parade. The band also had the honor of being the host band for the prestigious All-Western Band Review. In the spring the symphonic band performed at several concerts and festivals. Pantherettes Show Spirit, Excitement, Pride Spirit, enthusiasm, and pride were all expressed by the 1980-81 Pantherettes. The girls practiced weekly during the summer and throughout the school year. They helped create spirit and unity by supporting minor sports events and selling spirit buttons as well as performing at rallies and football games. Row 1: Cynthia Brown. Pageantry Performs With Marching Band This year ' s pageantry performed at all home football games and marched in several parades. In addition, they participated at several tall flag clinics and competitions. The group of girls per- form wherever the band performs. Practice usu- ally begins as early as 7:15 and continues until the end of first period each school day.
