During her years as a counselor she exTended invaluable help To sTudenTs who came in wiTh par- Ticular academic and social problems, and as dean of girls This year she has conTinued ThaT service in addifion To her responsi- Miss Virginia Shaw Helping The boys wiTh Their imporTanT problems is only one of The duties ThaT Mr. Jerome Beier faces as vice-principal in charge of boys in The Junior Building. He also Takes parT in plan- ning and assisTing Teachers wiTh Their insTrucTional programs. ATTendance aT exTra-curricular acTiviTies is anoTher very pleasanT part of Mr. Beier's responsibiliTies. Beginning his career in ed- ucaTion as an English Teacher in 1959, Mr. Beier soon changed To counseling, which remained his posiTion unTil This pasT year when he became a vice-princi- pal. Next year due To The ad- minisTraTive reorganizafion Mr. Beier will move To The Senior Building where he will assume The duTies of The newly creaTed posT of assisTanT principal in charge of The Senior Building. , , 'mf biliTies of vice-principal. Included in These responsibiliTies are mak- ing arrangemenTs Tor furnishing all subsTiTuTe Teachers and order- ing TexT books. STarTing as a physical educaTion insTrucTor, he has been a-hisTory Teacher and a counselor, becoming vice principal in charge of boys in The Senior Building in l959. Mr. l-losford began serving as principal of The Junior Building in i963 and has since encouraged The finesT of Teaching sTandards for The members of The sTaff and The highesf of academic achievemenfs for The freshmen and sophomores. Mr. Hosford's main responsibiliTy is To coordinaTe The Teach- ing procedures of The sTaff, he also has The final decision of sTu- denT acTiviTies and personnel in The Junior Building. During The summer he is The chief adminisTraTor of The disTricT summer school program, which offers sTudenTs an opporTuniTy To broaden Their educarion and To make up subiecTs missed during The school year.
