Senior Building Vice Principals Being vice-principal in charge of boys in the senior building, Mr. Richard Miller is mainly concerned with counseling Those boys who need help with social or aca- l demic problems. A member of the first faculty at David Douglas in l954, Mr. Miller has been a physical educa- tion instructor and director of athletics tor the District. He assumed his present duties ot vice-principal in Jan- uary ot 1963. Next year Mr. Miller will change his duties as he becomes principal ot David Douglas High School. Mr. Richard Miller As vice-principal in charge ot girls in the senior build- ing, Mrs. Mildred Wirtz has worked diligently to help girls who come to her to solve their various problems. STarTing as a physical educaTion insTrucTor, he has been a-hisTory Teacher and a counselor, becoming vice principal in charge of boys in The Senior Building in l959. Mr. l-losford began serving as principal of The Junior Building in i963 and has since encouraged The finesT of Teaching sTandards for The members of The sTaff and The highesf of academic achievemenfs for The freshmen and sophomores. Mr. Hosford's main responsibiliTy is To coordinaTe The Teach- ing procedures of The sTaff, he also has The final decision of sTu- denT acTiviTies and personnel in The Junior Building. During The summer he is The chief adminisTraTor of The disTricT summer school program, which offers sTudenTs an opporTuniTy To broaden Their educarion and To make up subiecTs missed during The school year.
