The class, with Kathryn Baker as general chairman, did a very nice job of decorating the auditorium in a winter won- derland scene. The center of the floor was decorated with an igloo. Soft colored lights helped to beautify the cool, com- fortable scene. Several members of the class took an active part in the operetta, Meet Hrizona, and in the junior class play, Iune Mad. Ht the head of the trail were Miss Roos and Miss McNaught, class sponsors. The second year was every bit as thrilling as the first. Everyone took an active part in music, athletics, speech, and other activities. The boys began vocational agriculture for the first year. The girls continued their hornemaking, thus making better campfire meals on the long, hard journey to that new horizon beyond. This year Mr. McRlexander and Miss Swanson were class sponsors. Don Lawson, president, Morris Clemmer, vice-president, Monica Beringer, secretary, Kathryn Baker, treasurer, and Ianet Glock, student council representative, helped to make the going a little easier. Hmong the group that graduated in the '49 class are several star athletes, as well as outstanding students in music and speech. The guide on the last lap of the journey was Mr. Vauck, class sponsor, Iames Barlean, president, Donald Glock, vice-president, Edith Sauser, secretary, and Eugene Glock, treasurer. Kenneth Schmit, Cherie Rathjen, Iames Burdick, Monica Beringer, and Norman Muntz were student council representatives. Hmong the year's activities were the senior class play, You Can't Take It With You, the operetta, Waltz Dream. the junior-senior banquet, and sneak day.
