L, THE OMICRON We, the Class of June, 1948, dedicate our Omicron to our beloved friend Lewis Durand-Report Room 247 December 10, 1930 ' january 6, 1948 IN MEMORY OF LEW DURAND One of my buddies has gone on a journey, A journey we all must make. I wish he were with me once again. With brain awake, my hand he'd takeg He'd walk- with me through the streets, As our friends we'd greet, The friends we used to know. if . Hi, Bill, here's our friend! Yes, he's with us again! This time we won't let him leave, No more for his loss will we grieve. And, Lew, there's the place Wher'e you made your debut, The band-the best in the land- And the boys you knew. My friend, it would be great to have you back! Without you our lives will lack 'Your joy, your happiness, and your song- The one you played on your trumpet, So pretty and long. I'm sorry!
