QQ CLASS or FEBRUARY 1928 QQ Loq of The S. S. Glivernii-1 from Februaru 1925 to Fc-:bruarq 1928 Cn a cold day in February, in the year of 1924, a brave crew of inexperienced and deathfdefying sailors settled in the colony of Irwinia. It was here, that with splendid cooperation, the crew proposed to build a large steamer and name it after their beloved idol, David B. Oliver' FEBRUARY 1925 A. D. A great throng of people were seen admiring a steamship bearing the letters, S. S. OLIVERNIA. Looking through a powerful telescope, tiny specs of people could be seen miles away crowding anxiously to catch a glimpse of the famous steamer. At last the LEVIATHAN had met its match. The steamer was inf deed, a product of beauty, being designed by such worldfknown artists as Ollie Golian, Honey', Anesin, Jack Watt, and Betty Stone. Pennants bearing the ship's motto On, Sail On could be seen fluttering in all directions. As the steamer was leaving port, enroute to the land of Graduation, strains of the Oliver Hymn could be heard. MARCH 1925 A .D. First red letter day arrives-Marjorie Clair, one of the finest members falso smartestj of our crew on board is appointed the first secretary of the Oliver High Students' Association. Waford Dailey, 'Llike father, like son, inherits from his dad the art of directing traffic in the halls. Watch your step, Superintendent Walsh, or you'll soon be looking in a newspaper column under the heading of L'Ma1e Help Wanted. ' APRIL 1925 A. D. Johnny Mulheizler and Bob Young are becoming close rivals with the famous Dodge Brothers in the matter of motors and machines. They gain their knowledge on this subject by their frequent tinkering with motors and other such paraphernalia. MAY 1925 A. D. ' Honey Anesin, in our estimation, is a fine example of a typical sailor. Besides being handsome, fas most sailors arej and having a girl in every port, Honey is a human ish, winning the highest award Qliver can offer, the letter HO . JUNE 1925 A. D. First big musical production- The Mikado -many Chinks contributed by the crew. The orchestra which did so nobly, was represented by Margaret Feigh. - ' JULY AND AUGUST 1925 A. D. Ship reaches port and the crew had shore leave for two warm months. Few sailors found odd jobs, while others did much as they pleased.

QQ THE oM1cRoN I lx! SEPTEMBER 1925 A. D. Anna Meyers, Florence Johnson, and Anna Kapurka have it over the whole crew when it comes to quietness and attention. We often wondered why they always managed to get such good marks in all subjects. Looking back over the records, we find that some did not return from shore leave. OCTOBER 1925 A. D. FOOTBALL!!! what a healthy activity. The equad was represented by three of our great stars, Adie Stevens, Charm Miller, and Lance Duggar. Scored on Schenley-Beat Allegheny and South High. NOVEMBER 1925 A. D. Ah! the weaker sex brings the good ship OLIVERNIA into the limelight. Alice Muth is manager of the Volly Ball Team, with Mary Robertson, Udwiga Plukis, and Mildred Smith as players. 5213.4 vs-.5-aj., . .... IQ I if if C DECEMBER 1925 A. D. The girls' basket ball team brings honor to Udwiga Plukis and Mary Robert' son, both of the crew. Adie Steven-s shines as captain of the Oliver natators. JANUARY 1926 A. D. The steamer takes out from its Christmas vacation. !'Stew Smith, an' other of our famous athletes is what we would call a gloom killer. He's said to be a sort of womanfhater, but I think he is too goodflooking to be that bad. fAsk Gallij FEBRUARY 1926 A. D. Basketball nearing the home stretch with the Oliver team striving in vain. Johnny and Wilbur Fullerton, only set of twin athletes in the school, are having their fun fooling the teacherskas to their real identity. Watch out, He who laughs last, laughs best. Down in Room 109, Russ McBride, Hunk Mekovsky, and Johnny Sebis could be rightfully called the Three Musketeers because of their close assof ciation, but somehow Russ was enchanted by that feminine charm and broke away. In the same roo1n A1 Chestnut with Buck Riefer and others were always get' ting the inside dope concerning baseball, football, both in school and out. No wonder Billy Evans, Ralph Davis, and Knute Rockne got busy in writing out sports, fthey saw the pink slips coming which meant new men for their positions., APRIL 1926 A. D. Jack Watt is the crew's best artist and cartoonist. Flora Schott steps out and becomes a modern flapper. Is she a mean mama ? Ask some of her victims.
