Times where few dark shadows were cast. Holding each other's memories, As we walked for what seemed like miles. Telling each other secrets; Watching each other smile. Those times ended so very quickly, And now our friendships begin to grow apart. We will never forget the past twelve years together, Fond memories will linger in our hearts. OSMEWffi BY JENNY MEEK Now is the time to follow your dreams, to set your goals. And your heart will lead the way above the clouds Beyond the sea. And now is the time, now and farewell, and as we part, you taught me well, you gave me strength, you showed the way; I’ll not forget you. I will go and I will plan my future out, I will get my life together and be strong. I will miss you; everyone I’ve come to know. I will fly to places yet unseen, go beyond my wildest dreams, Know that we may meet again someday. And all alone, I follow the stars above as my guide. As my guide, I trust in you, to show the way to me, Beyond the sea. And now is the time, now and farewell, and as we part, you taught me well, you gave me strength, you showed the way; I’ll not forget you. I will go and I will plan my future out, I will get my life together and be strong. I will miss you; everyone I've come to know. Mr. Gilkey came to us from Slippery Rock College where he majored in social studies and minored in speech and English. He also spent seven years at Penn State University teaching speech and several years work- ing for large corporations. Mr. Gilkey made the decision in 1948 that if he ever had the chance to teach at Lisbon, he would, and so he came to Lisbon and began teaching in August of 1975. While he has been at D.A.H.S., he has coached reserve football, reserve basketball, fresh- man football, volleyball, cross country, and track. He is very active in our community, holding the positions of Financial Secretary, and Clerk of the Sessions in the First Presbyterian Church, as well as serving on the Board of Public Affairs in Lisbon. Mr. Gilkey has been an excellent teacher and a good friend to many of us, and so we bid him a fond farewell and wish him the best of luck in the future. 31 MISS OLYMPIAN JENNY MEEK MISTER OLYMPIAN MATT MOORE 1 Y Y Y Y Y Y ° r °6 °6 °6 °6 °6 er 86 86 86 86 86 86 86 86 86 86 86 86 86 86 86 86 86 FACULTY 34 FACULTY Top row: Principal, Mr. Krotky, and Mr. James' secretary, Amy Cosma.
