As we look in on the Class of 1980, many years after graduation, we see them on the planet, Gongar. The amazing thing about Gongar is that everyone there has retained their youth. As we look out our Super Sonic Jet windows, we see Richard Little, Richard Rupp, and Jim Pike planting moon trees and space buds in the park. Pilot Mike Sweeney 8 Co-Pilot Dave Carmen land the Super Sonic Jet at the airport owned and operated by Richard Thomas. As we leave the jet, we are escorted by Stewardess's Roslyn Bates 8: Becky Green. We hail a taxi, driven by Tim Palmer, he takes us to the Brian Peppel Research 8: Medical Center where famous scientist Mike Straub works. In the operating room we see the famous brain surgeon Attila Samu, assisted by Leslie James, Rochelle Coleman 8: Teresa McLaughlin, who are operating on an unknown victim who is in need ofa brain. Just as the victim is going under Myron Dillard from Dillard's Delivery Service limps in with a faithful donars brain. As we leave the hospital we cross Rose Street where Julie Rose's Opera House with partner Karen Mitchell is located. As we tra vel on, we stop for gas at Roger's Fuel, featuring Manning Miracle Mud, a new fuel designed by Randy Manning. The gas station is owned by Terry Rogers and operated by Mark Klien. Head Mechanic Mike Brown checks under the hood only to find Larry Halverstaldt pounding out the fender. We stop next door to eat at Pastore's Pasta House where chefJoe Pastore is singing in the kitchen to the accordian music of Barb Everett. Melissa Gustafson, hostess, shows us to our seats. Penny Owens, waitress, comes and takes our order. Bartender Ann McDevitt serves us drinks. Suddenly we hear a commotion from the kitchen, Donna Parks and Peggy Short drop the dishes. From the restaurant window we see the Brothers 3 Truck Sales with Randy Kelch, Jeff Adams 8z Pat Belaney selling a truck to Tim Loch's Pizza Shop. Later, we stop at our old Alma Mater, DAHS. We are greeted at the door by Principal Scott Hammitt. In the office Melissa Schweitzer is typing out the absent sheet and Nick Muntean is still absent. Walking down the hall we see Judd Kemats, Janitor, scraping gum from the water fountain, mumbling, I had a 4 point average and Guidance Counselor John Andric coming out of his office. In room 201 we see Reverend Melinda Schweitzer giving a lecture on Death 46 Dying. In the gym Mark Pork Fitch and Chris Hanna teaching Phy Ed. Superintendent Traci Hall takes us out to eat before the football game to Tia Rudibaugh's Tastee Treats managed by Gina Rohm. Cooks Missy Bagley 8: Barb Rebuck prepare our food. After we eat Traci has an appointment at Brenda's Beauty IQ Barber Shop owned by Brenda Brownfield with famous hairdresser Lori Cusick. Tom needs a haircut and Kirk Johnson preforms the task. Returning to the stadium, Scott Washam, head football coach reviews a few plays with assistant coach Mike Beck and manager Dave MacAleese. Lori Alford is taking stats. Looking into the crowd are some familar faces. Debbie Altenhof selling food. Janice Borg is the band conductor 8: Renee Baker cheers for her son on the team. Sue McEwen 8 Mike Harmon are track coaches. After winning the game we go to the mall. Bryan Baugh, Jeff Moore, Randy Blythe and Richard Montgomery are building an Employment Center designed by Mark Cibula 8t Dan Bergert. The managers of the employment center are Kelly Hause 8: Lisa Pastore. Further down the mall, there is Olive Jackson's Wig Shop. In the Pet Shop, Sam Hutcheson is cleaning out the dog cages. Judy Bryan and Martha Dixon are helping Barb Newell get fish from the tank. In Vicki's Casuals run by Vicki Boyd there is a fashion show, models Shelly Fisher, Linda Padurean 8: Robin Donahey show the latest fashions. Sonya Argabrite, cashier, is getting money from Vicky Faulk who bought an outfit. In the Music Center, Carrie Barton .Q Sandy Grubbs are selling a trombone to Robin McIntosh. On our way we pass the Nursery School operated by Kim Jenningsg employees Amy Hurd, Vicki Wolf 8m Chris Bartholow are outside supervising the children. Down the road is Dickey's Cement Service owned By Tim Dickey. Truck drivers are Doug Dowd, Doug Arkwright, Richard Otto, 8: Jeff Moore. Coke-a-cola Man Jeff Hoperick is filling the pop machine which is located next to the truck repair building managed by Keith Kampfer. His head mechanics are Jeff 5 Rick McCullough. The future answer to the BG's Bartholow 8x Gottberg Sound Sensations are being chauffured by Jeff Capper to the Heidi Deemer Disco. For those with a short memory, Carole Eberle 8a Dan Martin will demonstrate the disco steps of the 70's. We the authors, have presented a somewhat humorous and impractical future scene. We want to thank all the Class of 80 for lending their names to this article and most of all yourselves to our memories. You'll Never Walk Alone It seems like yesterday when we first began To school hand in hand we did walk We did always look on 'Cause our time had come And we !in'ly did pass all our tests Walk on, through your life Walk on, don't look back We will strive to move on by. Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart. And you'll never walk alone. You'll never walk alone. Reflection Amy Hurd S We started out four years ago, alone and insecure, We didn't know what we would dog none of us could b We sat in class, answered question For the most part to our dismay, We might not have learned too mu But maybe we have about life and We went to the games both lost a , n And then in groups we left, We cruised aroung town, and when We'd cruise the Burger Chef! The concerts, the parties the lau But as they say, all good things m So we took the good with the bad, That's the past, it's behind us now, It's time to look to the future, We have our own lives to be lived, We've got to go at it with the best We'll be going off in our own direc Some of us will be working, others But whatever our futures may be, We'll be no one else's fool. 91 6 SUF6. s, read our books, ch from it all, its many ways. d won, we were done, s, the weekends, , gb These things and more we enjoyed, ust come to an end, which we could not avoid. we can give. tions now, will go on to school, Mark Cibula SENIOR DA Y A WARDS BOARD OF REGEN TS SCHOLARSHIPS Melinda Schweitzer Michael Harmon RURITAN SCHOLARSHIP Traci Hall N.R.O.T.C.
