Phi TheIaPi Fraternity The Phi Theta Pi Fraternity at Davenport is an honor national Fraternity. We now have 34 members who must maintain a high scho- lastic average. The Fraternity sponsors such Things as an all school carnival, Faculty- Alumni basketball game, and frequent dances throughout the year. This year the pledge initiation was changed to painting a house for an aged widow instead of the usual hazing. This proiect attracted public attention through- out Western Michigan. Let's call this meeting to order 63

The members must have high morals and good personalities to stay a member. Meetings are held twice a month. The second Wednesday of each month is their regular business meeting and their social meeting is also held once a month. Some of the projects that they have undertaken this year were working at the Easter Seal Office and the Muscular Dys- trophy Drive. They also presented food and toys to two different needy families at Christmas.

Their cheers inspired the team to fight, and to win. The cheerleaders are chosen according to their ability, enthusiasm, and sportmonship; but they must also maintain a good scholastic average throughout their year.
