' The I968 Dragon proved to be somewhat of a challenge to the annual staff this year. A trip to the Yearbook Clinic, in Fargo, was a great help in the planning and laying out of the book. As this is the last edition of the Dragon, the staff hoped to choose a theme that would be appropriate to carry on the Dragon school spirit throughout the coming years. Staff members are: Charlotte Discher and Tom Fredrikson-co-senior editors, Pat Zim- prich-junior representative, Val Grindberg- sophomore representative, Pat Nystul-photo- grapher, and Mrs. Strand-advisor. Mr. Kroshus also aided the staff in completing the annual. The student council again had a sugges- tion box placed in the main hall. Anyone could drop in either a suggestion or com- plaint and would find his note being dis- cussed during the student council meetings. This was a great help to the council in knowing exactly what the students really were concerned with. This year the student council was able to arrange to have a live band at the annual Sno-Ball. This was probably one of the most enjoyable and successful projects the student council organized. By the joint representation of classes in student council, the school was able to function and serve the students more effectively. The main function of a school paper is to report the news, and by doing this it informs its read- ers on what has happened or is going to happen. In order to put out a paper, a paper staff must work together as a team for the finished product. Putting out a paper requires a lot of time and effort. The time is hard to find because each member is involved in many other activities. The biggest relief for the staff comes when each page is finished and the paper is hand- ed out to the subscribers. The staff would like to thank all of the subscribers. We hope the paper has served its main purpose--to tell the news.
