Our young track team gained needed experience for future track seasons this year by entering track meets at Jamestown, Fargo, Casselton, and Val- Iey City. In addition they placed third in the CVC Meet in Fargo. Martin Anderson quali- fied for the State at the CVC Meet in the I00 yard dash. Other participants came close to qualifying, and our reiay teams also finished strongly. The girls' physical education class took an active interest in both basketball and track this year. The tournament held at Mapleton during March l3-l6, was the high- light of the basketball season. There the team defeated Fingai in the first game but then lost to Mapleton and Chaffee to take fourth in the tournament. The track team was hampered by poor weather conditions, but they still entered two track meets, placing third in the CVC Meet in Fargo.
