SOPHOMORES The sophomores found the l967-68 school year much like any other. Since raising money was not a major problem, the sophomores concentrated on ways to spend their class treasury, which consisted of money left from the previous year and that earned at the '67 Holiday Basketball Tournament. TOP ROW: Martin Anderson, Craig Buchhoitz, Darrell Discher, David Fredrikson, Peter Fredrikson. BOTTOM ROW: Kenn Haugen, Jane Merhiy, Pat Nystul, Jim Plath, Pat Zimprich. JUNIORS Being a typical junior class, the DHS Juniors engaged in many activities and projects throughout the year. Money seemed to be the main objective--the more the better. To raise this money the juniors devoted many hours to selling combs, candy, and raffling tickets on a radio. Along with this they sold popcorn and ice cream at basket- ball games. Now that they had the money, spending it was no problem. The Junior-Senior Banquet was sponsored at the Gardner Hotel on April 23. The juniors, with other area schools, co-spon- sored a CVC Prom held in the Elk's Club on May 3. The junior class also provided flowers for baccalaureate and graduation.

Here we are, girls! Initiation, which offi- cially made them a part of DHS, seemed to be the highlight of the year. Dressing ridiculous- ly and performing strange tasks were all a part of their in- itiation. The freshmen sponsored a return-party on October 20, l968, and had much fun doing so. Later in the year they enjoyed a movie and lunch as one of their class projects. Urg, those legs! Honestly, Mrs. Sather! Milk break? 14
