Trip The Black Hills was the destination of the seniors this year on their class trip. Early on Saturday morning, May 25, l968, the nine graduates and their chaperones, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Albright, left for South Dakota. They spent two days in the Rapid City area, seeing the South Dakota Badlands, A Marine Land Show, Mt. Rush- more, and various other interesting sites in the area. Sunday and Monday mornings the class made their own breakfasts in their motel. It was a lot of fun, but something the class had not anticipated. Fishing for trout, taking a chair lift up to Mt. Terry, and seeing Thunderhead Fails were the exciting things the class did on Tuesday. Tuesday night was spent in Dickinson, and Wednesday, May 29, the class and their chaperones headed home. The sight of straight roads, level land, and the State Capitol at Bismarck were signs to the vacationers that the ir enjoyable and adventurous trip was soon to end. 10
