As every other year, 1977 had its ups and downs but we learned to cope by accept- ing the good with the bad. The years ahead are bound to be dif- ferent for no single moment dup- licates itself. This year filled up a gap in time- the effect of which will last with us until our own time ends- but still it does not stop our longing for the future. Whatever-whenever the time, I wish you all a life of happiness. In the first semester.a film called GOLDRUSH with Charlie Chaplin was shown in the MPR. The other two activi- ties included a band from Sturgeon Creek High and our partici- pation in the musical SUPERSPEIL. I would like to thank all those who helped with the advertising for the film and the girls in the chorus who gave their time for the production. Missing: George DowlerCXID The Activities Com- mittee started the year off very well with Freshie Day and a Coffee House tak- ing place the first week of school. The following months in- cluded several suc- cessful activities such as Coffee House S Pancake Breakfasts, Remembrance Day As- sembly, and Christmas Festivities. I wish to thank the different companies in town, the people in school, and my committee for mak- ing this year one to remember. Wendy Ostapowich ACTIVITIES DIRECTOR Putting the newspaper together with the few we had was a hard, time-consuming job. I would like to thank the following people who assisted me with the production of the OBSERVER: Sharon Wallace-Assistant Editor, Karen Boudreau-Sports, Heather Johnston Q Margie Forbes-Layout, Donna Strang 8 Donna Norman-Typing,Business Ed. Dept-Q and the Graphics Dept. I wish everyone the best. Ethel Zazuliak PUBLICATIONS DIRECTOR It was the Council's wish to have two major produc- tions for this year, but only one was possible. A Comedia Troupe also tried to get off the ground but due to lack of participa- tion and interest, it re- gretably fell through. I would like to thank all those people who helped out with the PUPPET SHOW during the Christmas con- cert.
