Class Hlstorv In September 1950 forty frve spurred freshmen boarded the Super let D I-l S to begrn a four year tr1p around the Solar System We chose as our Ptlot Kenneth Floren Co prlot luluts Radunz Navrgator Robert Sellers and Radroman Jerry Nelson Our Gutdes were Mrss Olson and Mr l-ljermstad Due to lack of an oxygen mask Donald Dantelson was left at a space statron to be transferred back to earth Ann Anderson flew tn from Lrtchfreld We resumed our flrght the second year mth our crew Robert Sellers Margery Nelson Karen Tomlrnson and Kenneth Floren along wrth Mrss lewson and 'vlr Errckson leadrng us on through rough ttmes Emery Ph1ll1ps Inez Provencher Gaylord Stoner and Stanley Ladwtg left us because of a1r stckness George Podratz transferred to another space statron We started our thrrd year by turnrng around for our return tr1p to the earth w1th our crew Bob Sellers Delores Freeman Ann Anderson and Orrrn Bly leadrng us on through numerous a1r pockets Mrss Fortney and Mr Korpt were our leaders on our start back to earth On December 0 and 6 the Juntor Class presented the play Trger l-louse Thts play helped us frnance a ban quet honortng the Senrors at A Day In Mex1co Wrth the addrtron of Earl Brown forty ambrtrous Senrors landed therr shrp atthe let Atr Freldlocated at Dassel They were urged on by Bob Sellers Fannre Lu Palm Margre Benson and Orrm Bly wrth the assrstance of Mr Nygaard and Mr Block As the 1954 Semors graduate they step from D H S wtth brtght eyed eagerness We all hope that success wrll be rn all our classmates future Class Poem The 54 class graduatrng th1s year Leaves these hallowed halls sheddrng a tear As we look back at our class rooms so dear We wtsh graduatrng ttme were not so near Our laughter w1ll rtng throughout the halls After the bell to our classrooms calls We now begrn another hour of learntng Despxte that we are for the outsrde yearntng And now more about the 54 class As we try to descrlbe each lad and lass A good lookrng chrck IS our grrl Bev A She w1ll marry Ort rn a year or two they say She spends her ttme at old Pla Mor A dancmg and wa1tz1ng round the floor Lynnette A a pretty brown eyed lass Would prefer just any commercral class And rf tn band you hear a sweet srght It s because Ralph rlght next to her IS her guy Alyce Anderson Mrs Murdock was she In our class play whose acts numbered three There s one specral fellow for her he does wart He d pay any prrce to make her h1s mate Ann Anderson was a Lrtchfteld lass Before she came to Jotn our class Sez Ann You really don t l1ve T11 you rrde around tn a 37 Chev Sponsored by ANDERSON DASCHER AGENCY 13 0 1 1 1 1 ' ' ' 1 1 u 1 n 1 1 1 , .
