FGX Division e Fox Division personnel are those unheralded persons in our Gunnery Department who tirelessly work behind closed doors maintaining their Ordnance and Fire Control gear. Whether in readiness to carry out the ship's mission in wartime or win the E in peacetime, the boys are al- ways on the iob. The rates included in this gang are the Fire Control Tech- nicians, the Torpedomen, and the Sonarmen. lt is not until General Quarters is sounded that we become aware of their dominating presence on the communications circuits. The E alone doesn't truly pay tribute to a group ot Sailors so dedi- cated to their specialties so we tip our hats to them and feel proud to distribute these persons to the fleet as the DASHIELL ends its career.
