Manager, economics and costs, Marine Dept.—1967 named manager of transportation for Pacific Gulf Oil in Tokyo. The same year Vice President of Ryukyuan Representation and Coordination. Presently staff of the Worldwide Coordinator of Transportation in the Pittsburgh executive office. Chairman. Board of Directors. Sound Beach Fire Dept., Old Greenwich. Conn.; Cub Scouts. (Alumni Records) WILLIAM H. ASHLEY Bill Box 479, Jackson, Wyoming President, Jackson Sporting Goods Co. WIFE: Mary M. (Vassar 1945) CHILDREN: Peter H., 20, Univ. of Colorado, 73; Stephan W., 18. Holdcrness School, 70; Alan R., 11, 5th grade. After discharge from USMC in 1946 attended Univ. of Wyoming for Masters Degree in Geology. Worked for Standard Oil of Indiana as geologist for 2 years. In 1949, purchased 'A interest in Jackson Sporting Goods Co. in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, retail sporting goods and ski equipment. Directed Jackson Hole Ski School for 15 years. Recalled to USMC during Korean conflict. Opened 2nd store, Teton Village Sports, in 1965 at new Jackson Hole Ski Area. Active in community affairs, ski coaching, and most sports related to the outdoor life in Wyoming. Can’t make the 25th but would enjoy visiting with any 45s who happen to pass our way. WILLIAM T. Connecticut College, 72; Robert S., 19, Dartmouth, 73. MILITARY SERVICE: 1943-46 U.S. Naval Air Corp Lt. (j.g.) A-l. After serving as a fighter pilot (F4U Corsairs) started business life with present firm. The company sells fuel oil, heating and air-conditioning equipment to customers in six counties in Northeastern New York State. A separate operating division is engaged in the production of ready-mix concrete serving the construction industry in the same basic area. Also a part-time banker as a vice-president and director of The Adirondack Trust Company. Summer months spent commuting daily to our place at Pilot Knobb on the cast side of Lake George. Much fun there! Can't say no activities have included presidency of Chamber of Commerce and Lions Club, 20 years as board member of local hospital, board chairman of locally-owned corporation which financed and built our Holiday Inn, board member of local golf club. As for Dartmouth, currently serves as Enrollment Director. District 46. member of Dartmouth Alumni Club of Glens Falls, N.Y. and vicinity, and a board member of the Psi Upsilon Foundation. Really enjoy getting back to Hanover for games, meetings and. now, with two sons there, lots of excuses. 14

Work, travel and play with the hope of changing the order in the near future. Medical School, Long Island College of Medicine, intern and residency 1948-51; married Elaine Turra Flichingcr in 1948; U.S.A.F. 1952-1954; private practice and halftime associate professor Dept, of Ophtalmol-ogy, O.S.U. Medical School. Head of Surgery. Tennis, golf and sailing in the summer; crew on Col.-40 and Thistle in local area; skiing since 1948- Aspen family vacation each year and Christmas family vacations since 1960; toured Italy last year. Outside interests include close observation of stock market, a country meat market, a structural steel business and a total energy company. Belong to the usual organizations, but find less and less time for them. Life, family, and work have been good, looking forward to more. ROBERT J. ANTHONY Bob 7631 Old Lakcshorc Rd., Lakeview, N.Y. President—Construction Contractor WIFE: Terry CHILDREN: Richard. 22, U.S. Army; Judith. 21, Cazenovia College, Robert Jr., 10. MILITARY SERVICE: 1943-46 U.S. Navy V-12 Unit at Dartmouth, 119th Naval construction battalion—Pacific. 1946-47 worked in Hanover for Town and Village of Hanover. N.H. 1948 moved to BulTalo. N.Y. Lived at University Club, which always had an active Dartmouth group. Worked selling fabricated metal building products. 1956 married and moved to Lakeview, N.Y., “about 20 miles south of Buffalo on Lake Erie . In 1962 started my own business—subcontractor furnishing and installing permanent metal forms for concrete on highway bridges. Business has grown so that I now have four companies doing this type of work from Virginia to Maine. Do not work west of Buffalo, so should probably move to New Jersey where I have a branch office, but can’t seem to tear my family away from western New York. Summers and fall arc beautiful here, and there is really no experience quite like being snowbound in this country for two or three days (such as I am as I write this) in the winter. Spend most of my free time on the golf course; lucky to have a wife who also plays. Do some fishing, a little traveling, but mostly getting to be a homebody. (Alumni Records) GEORGE L. D. BAKER “Bake” 533 Langley Avenue, W. Hempstead, New York Sales Representative, Marine Paint Sales WIFE: Edith CHILDREN: Joan Marie, 21. Univ. of Rhode Island. College of Nursing, 71. During World War II joined the Navy as a V-5 cadet only to get caught in what we called the Purge as were about 50,000 others. With two months more to go for wings was “washed only to go on to advanced Aerographers School after which served aboard the U.S.S. Santcc-CVE29 in the Pacific. After the Okinawa campaign was picked as a fleet candidate to return to take up V-12 program. On returning the war ended, so I picked up the beautiful ruptured duck and went into the steamship business. Joined West Coast Line, Inc. first as claims agent then finally operations manager until 1952 when I decided on a sales position. I joined International Paint Co.. Inc. as a sales representative. This company is the largest in the world in the manufacture of marine paints. Our yacht paints are known as Intcrlux . Recently we merged with the Red Hand Compositions Co. having purchased their assets. This merger is a most exciting venture and I’m certain will be rewarding. My organization memberships include: The Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers, Propeller Club of N.Y., Rudder Club of Brooklyn, N.Y., The Maritime Association. Port of N.Y., Downtown Athletic Club of NY. EARL F. BALDWIN “Bud 24 Dccring Avc., Lexington. Mass. President—Lexington Lumber Corp. WIFE: Phyllis (Wheaton ’47). CHILDREN: Linda. 19. Wheaton. '73; Joan. 16, High School; Beth, 15. High School: Richard. 7, 1st Grade. Left Hanover in sophomore year. Spent three years in Air Force, ending up in Alaska and Aleutian Islands as Communications Officer. Returned to Hanover in 1946, and finished Tuck—Thayer School in 1948. After working for about a year for General Motors, entered retail lumber business in 1949. After death of previous owner in 1962, another partner and I bought the business. Active in town affairs as Director of Lexington Trust Company, member of Hancock Church Men's Club, Lexington Rotary, Chamber of Commerce. Town Meeting Member, etc. We are looking forward to retiring sometime, possibly to New Hampshire—if we ever get all the kids educated. 15
