In some cases if you fail your English or Math tests you may get permission to try it again. It is a must in college to budget your time and get real work or study habits. English, Math and Science are still the basic subjects in which you should be better than average. If you are not going on to college, the same basic subjects are still important. In applying for any job or position, a good appearance and impression are vitally important. The job will certainly go to the one who has the training, speaks or writes intelligently, and is courteous. Courtesy is very important whenever you meet the public. May your preparation in high school prepare you for your future vocation. Good luckg let us know how you make out. We are interested in your adjustment to life situations. Sincerely, H. O. Edwards Superintendent 7 h just a few thoughts for the annual. We have 5 made a good start for our school year 58-59. Basketball season is almost here, and the days seem to be flying. The months ahead will pass i ii quickly, and it won't really be too long until another school year is over. Wishing the very best of luck to those who ' 7 will graduate in the spring, and hoping to see the rest back again next fall. Sincerely, Colleen L. Reece, Secretary Administration When you read this we will have completed a whole full year in the new High School Building. I'm sure we all appreciate how lucky we are to be in this new building and I should like to congratulate the students on their good care of this building during this first year. During this year, many students helped to beautify the grounds by planting shrubs, rhodo- dendrons and trees. I do hope that at least some of the trees will live. Next year all students will be given a hand- book which is a sort of guide to students. I hope everyone will find it helpful and an aid to better school living. Best of luck to the graduating Seniors and to those returning I hope you will make 1959-1960 a very successful school vear. 1 incerely, f--+ C.
