To the students of Darrington High: The year of 1955 has been a very eventful one for Darrington High School and its students. Football was started again and the boys did an excellent job, con- sidering their lack of experience. Then came basketball, with a squad that had six seniors. This was to he the year-how good we could not forecast. However, after dropping a few games early in the season, the boys won both the Northwest District and the State B Cham- pionship. We also were tops in the Eastern Division Baseball League and lost 5-4 to Oak Harbor in the championship game. Gerald Greene went to the State Track Meet. but the other boys were too fast, and he didn't place. These events, together with the other ac- tivities, make this year an outstanding one in our history. A great many scholarships were given at Graduation. I sincerely hope that these are amply repaid by quality of work done in college. Time marches on and as it marches, may everyone enjoy life to its fullest extent. Sincerely, H. O.
