STUDENT COUNCIL President: Tom Lehe Vice-pres: Abe Hodgen Secretary: Donna Weliever Sponsors: Mr. Gossman Mrs. Stevenson Mr. Smith The Student Council worked again this year to plan a great Homecoming, besides introducing teachers at Or- ganization Day and at a PTO meeting among their many projects. Tom and Abe attended the summer workshop at lU and Stan was the delegate to the national convention in Texas this year. Most of the members attended the state convention and with new innovations learned there and elsewhere, they have all tried to help make DHS greater, too. HONOR SOCIETY Scholarship, leadership, service, and Character again played a part in our school as the Honor Society helped sell tickets at Junior High ballgames and planned the yearly Awards Night. Spreaders of Sun- shine provide favors for the teachers at the beginning of each month. They also make cheer baskets for the shut-ins of our community diu-ing holidays. Peg and Cindy attended a leadership camp at Lafayette last sum- mer. Jeanne and Sue along with their sponsor, Mrs. Ann Emery attended an Officers Training meeting at Indi- anapolis this fall. Some of the events attended by all Sunshiners this year were the formal initiation, cook-out at the Conservation Club, the District Convention at Pittsboro, The Christmas Ball-- My Special Angel -- Mother ' s Tea, heart fimd drive, Daddy Date Night, and to bid the senior girls good-bye, the May Breakfast.
