 SUGARANDSPICE! D. H. S. had another action-packed week of girl's football. They had their third annual game on a chilly November afternoon in the Redbird Stadium. The two teams, the dirty dozen were Baranczyk's Bombers coached by Ray Baranczyk and Bennett's Women coached by Brian Bennett. The girls had only one week to prepare for the big game. In this week they learned several offensive plays and a few defensive positions. The day they had all been waiting for had finally arrived. Both teams felt they could walk off with a victory. But not so with the scoreboard. They shared the victory with a tie. Both teams had a long, hard- hitting game. They played a full game of four quar- ters with each quarter being 8 minutes. Officiating was done by Randy Buschor and Rick Yeazle. The officials were carried off the field by the dirty dozen immediately following the end of the game. Twttom'ROwVK i a- : len, L. Rasmussen, M. They moved off to a fine start and played Iowa Grant at home for what proved to be the title game. They came out on the short end of the score, 6-0, in a tightly contested game. They then finished the season with two victories to end their season in second place. Many valuable lessons were learned. Hopefully, in the year of the 200th birth- day, we can reaffirm our principles of achievement.
