There are three classes and all are taught by Mr. Michael Rafferty, a new teacher at D.H.S. Also new this year was Mrs. Kay Johnston, who teaches Sophomore English. Also this year D.H.S. was happy to welcome a student teacher from UW-Platteville. Her name was Mrs. San- dra Frye. Mrs. Frye practice taught Sophomore and Senior English. MR. MICHAEL J. Social Sciences Inform This year a new teacher was brought to D.H.S. to teach World History. Her name is Mrs. Sylvia Schil - ing. Mrs. Schilling joins the regular social science instructors. Mr. Wilkinson has been teaching Ameri- can History and World History at Darlington for four years. Mr. Johnston for the first year since his arrival in Darlington has no history classes but is teaching three social problems classes. Develops Physical Education classes are resumed every year with the opening of school. They begin with the exclamation Everyone outside ! Soccer and archery make up the program. With the coming of the cold winds of winter classes are moved inside to play basketball, soccer, and participate in gymnastics. However, with the return of spring most people are happy to be back outside and running in the warm sunshine. 27
