Larry??!! This year the annual Mother-Daughter banquet was sponsored by the FHA classes. The theme was A Visit With Our German Neighbors, with Mrs. Fred Ruf and Mrs. Lyle Olson speaking on their recent excursions to Germany. A new class, Bachelor's Survey, was added to the curriculum of Home Economics and was taught by Miss Meyers. The FFA boys enjoyed their monthly athletic nights again this year, in which they played basketball with surrounding schools. They also took their yearly trip to Jag Lake. SAW IN hand, Larry Saalsaa busily works on a new feeder.

Social Sciences Inform This year a new teacher was brought to D.H.S. to teach World History. Her name is Mrs. Sylvia Schil - ing. Mrs. Schilling joins the regular social science instructors. Mr. Wilkinson has been teaching Ameri- can History and World History at Darlington for four years. Mr. Johnston for the first year since his arrival in Darlington has no history classes but is teaching three social problems classes. Mr. Meyers continues teaching his geography course with two periods this year. REALIZING THE importance of notes in Sociology, Phil Bryson jots down a few.
