Class of '57’ Graduates May 29, 1957 Tonight at eight o'clock, the gradu- ating class of sixty-seven members will proceed into the gymnasium for formal graduation and the presentation of diplomas by Mr. Nelson. On this memorable occasion each graduate will wearhis white cap and gown and the class flower. This afternoon will be the traditional Peace Pipe address by Class Presi- dent, Jon Me Gettigan, who will open the program. William Fitzpatrick, Junior Class President will deliver the response. The Class Will and the Class Prophecy will be read. Senior Occupations In Future Years Denny Roseleip and Jon Mc- Gettigan are co-owners of a nation-wide chain of restau- rants. Walter Mathys and Gayle Mon- son are operating the Ford Body Shop, here in Darlington. Eleanor Goebel and Colleen Kan son are both married and love married life. We hear that they are next door neighbors in Detroit, Michigan. Virginia White is still em- ployed by the County Superin- tendent of Schools. She is married and has a lovely family. Mary Black is ambassador to Cuba. She is really making a name for herself. Mary Hollenstein has taken over the job of Betty Crocker. She really makes a wonderful one. She was such a good oook in her school days. Wayne Wilson is enjoying fame making movies for 20th Century. TexPenniston and Gene n0ug- I a s are also making fame. Their orchestra is playing at the Waldorf Astoria in New York. Walter Aebersold and Francis Rock purchased Jayne Mans- field's contract and are said to be very happy with their pur- chase. She will co-star with them in their next movie. Gary Garrison, Ronnie Wonders and Charles Chapman jointly own the largest dairy farm in Southern Wisconsin. Larry Hicks has started a meat market in Hollywood. It seems that he always did enjoy seeing the pretty girls come in. Larry Glendenning is hauling lime for the Glendenning Redi-Mix Company. Clara Meier is making a suc- cessful career in the field of home decorating. She is em- ployed by Marshall Field. Betty Engebretson, who always did like to travel, is married and living in the Philippines. Josephine Judkins, who is now married, is teaching the home school besides taking care of her son. Shelby Lancaster has taken Ann Sothern's place as the i- deal Private Secretary for Karen Burke's husband. Karen is a nurse at Wisconsin Gener- al Hospital. Patti Erickson and Karen Nel- son are dress designers in Paris. They really love their work in Paris. Paul Dunn is head electrician at General Motors Corporation. David Motley and Robert ben- son are executives on the Pub- lishing staff of Mechanics Illustrated. Jerry McDonald and Bill Mc- Gowan are both physics and science teachers, following in the footsteps of Mr. Ruf. The Leu boys, Jack and Don, are both settled down, engaged in farming. io
