To the Highlander Staff and Student Body: I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you, the Gradua- tion Class of 1963, for the fine work you have done In the classroom and in the field of athletics. Your high school years have been years of decision. During this time you have had to assume responsibilities, and still greater responsibili- ties are awaiting you upon your graduation. It is my hope that you are preparing and will continue to prepare yourself to meet the needs and demands of this changing world in which we live. If at all possi- ble do not allow your education to end with high school graduation; but endeavor to further your education by attending college. It is a distinct pleasure to have worked with you. May your future be bright with health, happiness and success. Sincerely yours, £ . W. E. Ethington, C. S. S. To the Senior Class of 1963: I congratulate you on having arrived at this day. Today is all that you have. The Past is the dead Past. The Future has not been born. The Past is of no worth to you save in its valuable lessons of regretful remembrance or happy recollections. The Past is finished, and the Future is upon you and stands with folded wings of mystery. It has come to challenge you, to bless you and bear you on to higher and nobler heights. The years keep you on the move - upward - if you choose to make it that way. Into your hands is given all the wealth and power To make your life just what you will. ” I congratulate you for a job well done. The school is proud of you. and I know that you are proud of your school. May God's richest bless- ings go with you always. Sincerely, Principal
