It has been ten years since I have been back because I am working as a secretary to the govenor in Atlanta. Melva Sweat met me at the airport. She is still the little girl that we remember in school, but she is now a model in Hollywood. Melva and I went to the reunion together. We were really surprised to see a new school in the place of the little old one, the new one was constructed by Jerry Speed. We were met at the door by Mike Lunsford, he had taken his father's place as Principal. When we entered the auditorium we were met by Gloria Poppell who was telling us about her becoming a lawyer in a little town called Writesville. Kentucky. Sitting up in front of us were two girls who we thought looked familiar to us. We went to speak to them. It was Frances Sumner and Martha Marsh. They had come together because they both were work- ing in the John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. Maryland. Martha was an X-Ray Technologist and Fran- ces was the head nurse there. Next came in my sister. Ann Jarriel. who was a hair stylist in Paris. We weren't surprised to see Bobby Carter, Billy Butler, and Hal Sullivan come together, because they always palled around together. Billy told us he was a general in the Air Force and that Bobby was a disc-jockey making lots of money and still playing Presley records. Hal said he had gotten married and was working in Brunswick in the insurance business. We were sorry to hear that Ann Browning could not make it because she was in Hawaii with her hus- band. After we received the news of Ann we all sat down again to listen to the band of Larry Townsend. We were surprised to see Clarence Maulden singing bass in Larry's band. The Hawthorne Brothers came next. Dan had made the President of the Darien Bank and Harold owned the Ford Company in Jackson- ville. Louise Cowart came in with Maurine Middleton. Maurine had become a Dr. and was working in the Brunswick Hospital. After the reunion Louise invited us over to have dinner in the restaurant she own- ed. It was a real pleasure seeing all of our friends and classmates again and finding them all enjoying their work and finding their happiness in anything they attempted to do.
