Space-tination” Unknown The calendar year is 1970. The fourth dimension has been perceived--a realm where the word impossible” is obsolete--a realm where man’s mental and physical powers are at a zenith--a realm which has been invaded by the Trojaniks that were once known as the 1960 class of Darden High School, Wilson, North Carolina, U.S.A., Planet Earth. Through mental telepathy in this fourth-dimensional age, here on the new planet, '’Dardenextra, the Trojaniks have the power to send and receive thought messages. Reversing time is a recreational prank performed at will. Just to prove it, we shall allow you to communicate with Dr. Hodginitrofen, called by earth men the mad astronaut of ’60, who engineered this expedition in the guise of Trojan Editor-in- chief. The doctor has just released a ten year time-reversal capsule! If you are alert you will see the intricate, diligent, and fascinating preparations that preceded the launching: It is 1960! At the Darden Testing Grounds for aeronautical majors, the space ship, Futurosticalyx, stands in readiness for launching-- Space-tination unknown. The blast-off is set for --0.14KC. To you that is 30 seconds. As seconds tick off, a tape recorder, several radar scopes and a filter Solaroid camera are placed in the satellite. You will note on one side a file cabinet with individual capsule sections; these capsules contain photostatic copies of treasured memories, which, when released in space, will expand immediately and will serve as valuable records oi 1960. We have enough equipment for all who would like to make the journey to see for themselves. Traveling at 3,335,000 T.P.S., we can be transported in the length of time that it takes to turn a page. At--0.28KC, we are strapped in and all stages of the rocket have been carefully checked. Come along, enter the Futurosticalyx, and LET’S TRAVEL THROUGH SPACE WITH THE TROJANS, 1960 style. 4

Dedication All that we send into the lives of others Comes back into our own. --Markham One could hardly estimate the number of individuals many of whom are still citizens of Wilson, who have come into the light of understanding, love, inspiration, and intellectual guidance that was shed by Mrs. Helen D. Whitted in the 45 years that she rendered service in Wilson as a teacher. To her, we, the Class of 1960, offer this dedication as a tribute for the contributions she has made to our citizenry as a teacher and as a parent. Fond memories linger in the minds of those whom she has counseled. Her name instantly invokes visualization of one of her major assets--her artistic ability--which she used for the benefit of so many. May her fortitude serve as an inspiration to potential teachers that they may realize the privilege and honor that is theirs.

The Board of Trustees B. B. Plyler, Jr. G. H. Adams, Chairman of the Board F. T. Green !rs. J. W. Benson The Futurosticalyx, like many others, has three stages, but is unique in that each stage is capable of carrying passengers and has its own return guidance control. In the first stage, between the ignition chamber and the oxy- gen storage compartments, will journey our Board of Trustees, which this year has just elected a new superinstronomer and secretaryx, Mr. G. S. Willard. Upon reaching the perogee of the earth's atmosphere this guidance control with its aerodynamic stability will automatic- ally return this stage in order that its occupants may continue their vital job--making available opportunities and materials for succeeding superstructures. f Mrs. C. A. King 5
