We, the Senior Class of 1952, have striven to make our high school years the most prof- itable and idealistic of any previous class of Charles H. Darden High School. We, now stand- ing at the gate of departure, looking back over the years from which we have trod, would like tr leave this, our last will and testament to be executed: ARTICLE I TO THE FACULTY ITEM I To Mr. E. M. Barnes, our principal, for this unfailing guidance, we leave our sincere appreciation. ITEM II To our senior sponsors we leave our heartfelt gratitude for their untiring efforts in helping us to depart, equipped and ready for the future. ITEM HI To the persons who have so diligently helped us with our problems of commence- ment, and who have helped us to receive the memories and tokens we shall always cherish, we leave our thanks and gratitude. ITEM IV To all the teachers, we leave quieter and better students. ARTICLE II TO THE CLASSES ITEM I To the Juniors, we leave our positions so they won ' t be jealous. We trust that you may be happy, prosperous, and a model class. ITEM II To the Sophomores, we leave our hopes that they come down to earth, since it is logical to walk before flying. ITEM HI To the Freshmen, we leave our best wishes for the future and the consolation that green fruit will ripen. ITEM IV To all the classes, we leave our desire for a better school, ever-improving facilities. ARTICLE III TO THE GROUPS ITEM I To the Band, we leave hopes for a more prosperous future. ITEM n For the Cheering Squad, we leave our thanks for their cheerful co-opexation. ITEM IE Our sincere sympathy to the Football Team, for taking so many of your, valuable players. ITEM IV We leave our hopes for a successful team, even though we must take the seniors from the Basketball Team. V To the Mixed Chorus, we grant our hopes that they will have more talented vocalists in the future. VI We leave our hopes for a stronger force in the future to the Patrol Force. VII To the Student Council goes our strongest wish for your realization of a model student government. Vni To the Commercial Club we wish Godspeed in progress, IX We bequeath to the Science Club more scientific-minded students in the future. X To the N. H. A. Club, we leave our promises for upholding your aims toward better homemaking in our land.
