The basketball boys would all like to thank our coach, Mr. Boone Arnett, for all the time and effort he put in with us trying to help us out in every way he could. After four years in high school there are three seniors who have played their last game for Darby They are Jay Hill, Norman Puckett, and Larry McPherson. Now here are some statistics on t'1e reserve and varsity games and also the high-point man of each game for Darby. 65

1956 vqomecominy Queen On Friday, February 3, the gymnasium was Filled with alumni, teachers, and friends of Darby and Ashville, our opponent for the homecoming game. Our queen was Betty Looney. She was attired in a white formal with a corsage of red carnations. Her senior attendant, Virginia Hinson, wore an aqua formal. The iunior attendant, Janet Puckett, wore a yellow formal, sophomore attendant, Geor- gia Deyo, wore a blue formal, and freshman attendant, Sandy Greenlee, wore a pink formal. The crowning of the queen and her attendants took place between the reserve and varsity games. Co-captains Ned Musselman and Norman Puckett escorted the queen, Ned having the honor of crowning her. The attendants were escorted by varsity boys from whom each received a beautiful corsage. The Mistress of Ceremonies were Carol Picklesimer and Rosalie Egnor.
