DHS prepares it's students for the future through a variety of scientific studies. The study of science is one of the most compli- cated and interest-arousing series of courses offered at DHS. Four years of scienceareoffered to students in the areas of biology, physical science, chemistry, and physics. These courses put the solutions for the problems of the modern world closer to the present.

Languages Provide Understanding El examen es muy dificil. The translation of Caesar's letters helps the Latin class get a deeper meaning of the language, As our world grows smaller due to advanced transportation, foreign language provides the vital link in the understanding between the peoples ofthe world. LATIN LIVES AGAIN . . . Although the Latin language is not spoken today, the study of word derivations and vocabulary helps the student to grasp the structure of English and other Romance languages. Spanish is a popular course in which students learn about the culture as well as the language of Spanish speaking countries. The study of for eign language enables the students to obtain a better knowledge of foreign culture, thus creating each individual's opportunity to aid in the long, hard road to world peace.
