Carl Hoffman and Judy Edmondson practice for the Commencement exercises. The Senior boys wear Ber- mudas to the last Convocation. The Senior Convocation was on the last day of school, May 27. During the convocation, the class will and advice were read by Carolyn Tschudi. Mitzi Martin, junior read the class prophec y. Mr. Cox gave the closing speech. Wonder if those tears are genuine?

A. president. sophomoreg L. Alverson, freshman. HIGGINS CROWNED SWEETHEART KING Couples dance to the music of the Cathedral High School Dance Band. The Sweetheart dance in the Washington Street Gymnasium, was spon- sored by the G. A. A. Decorations consisted of a large red heart on a white background. For the first time, a band supplied the music for the dance instead of the usual disc jockey. Jim Higgins, senior, was the King, and ruled over the dance.

JUNIORS BID SENIORS GOODBYE AT RECEPTION WITH THEME 'SAYONARA' Toastmaster Steve Hayes prepares Seniors and their dates dance to the music of Buzz to introduce Harry Clark, senior Burgess' Band. class president. Juniors join the seniors in a spirited Bunny Hop. Sayonara, Japanese goodbye, was the theme for the Junior-Senior Re- c ep tio n at the Indiana University Medical Cen- ter in Indianapolis, April 10. Green and White Car- nations were used as cen- terpieces on the tables for the dinner. Following the dinner, music was played for the forma1dancebyBuzz Bur- gess and his band.
