A. president. sophomoreg L. Alverson, freshman. HIGGINS CROWNED SWEETHEART KING Couples dance to the music of the Cathedral High School Dance Band. The Sweetheart dance in the Washington Street Gymnasium, was spon- sored by the G. A. A. Decorations consisted of a large red heart on a white background. For the first time, a band supplied the music for the dance instead of the usual disc jockey. Jim Higgins, senior, was the King, and ruled over the dance.

Candidates for Queen of the Christmas Dance are Marcia Wyatt, seniorg Mitzi Martin, junior, Dana Willis, sophomore, and Angela Newhart, fresh- man. Tim Sale, president ofthe Hi-Y, crowns Mitzi, Martin, queen, as Marcia Wyatt, Dana Willis, and MITZI MARTIN CROWNED QUEEN BY TIM SALE Mitzi Martin reigned as Snowflake Queen over the annual Christmas Dance, co-sponsored by the Tri-Hi-Y and Hi-Y. White crepe paper trees with red orna- ments scattered over them, suspended from green crepe paper streamers brought out the holiday atmosphere. Red and white candy canes were given as favors to the couples. Angela Newhart look on. Couples dance to the music of Lynn Jones' Band.

Carl Hoffman and Judy Edmondson practice for the Commencement exercises. The Senior boys wear Ber- mudas to the last Convocation. The Senior Convocation was on the last day of school, May 27. During the convocation, the class will and advice were read by Carolyn Tschudi. Mitzi Martin, junior read the class prophec y. Mr. Cox gave the closing speech. Wonder if those tears are genuine?
