Danville High School offers unlimited opportunities for the stu- dent who applies himself to his studies. The science department is equipped to aid the student and help him achieve success. The Library with its many books and volumes offers the stu- dent factual information. This in- formation is availablefor evaluation and use by students in themes, pa- pers, and reports. In the Home Economics Depart- ment girls learn the art of cutting, pinning, and stitching a piece of material into a lovely garmentg or the basics of cooking, what is learned here can be an economical hobby or useful vocation. Mr, Gibbs looks on as his biology class prepares their assign ment.

PROMOTED SCHOLASTIC ACHIEVEM ENT Members of the Latin II class check their assignments as Judy and Sandy Montgomery conjugate verbs at the board. The variety of subjects of- fered at Danville range from the academic to the vocational. Academic subjects prepare pupils for college while the voca- tional subjects prepare them for occupations. James Payne instructs pupils in his shop class as they complete their projects.
