EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACHIEVEMENT Mrs. Elmer Koch, representing the TriKappa, awarded Marcia Pritchard and Tim Sale a placque for highest scholastic achievement in the senior class. At the annual award night the outstanding teach- er of the year and outstanding students were honored. The American Legion Good Citizen awards were presented to Tim Sale and Marcia Pritchard, seniors, and Becky Parsons and David Irwin, eighth graders. Karen Laymon was presented the senior D.A. R. award and seventh graders David Myers, James Disney and Harriett Hawley received the other D. A.R. awards. The Epsilon Sigma Alpha sorority awards were given to James Disney and Connie Hanson. Typing, shorthand, student council, junior high basketball awards and First National Bank gifts to the seniors were presented. Varisty cheerleaders, basketball, track and baseball awards were presented. Safety patrol, chorus and band awards were also presented. Mrs. Avis Walls, 5th grade teacher was awarded a plaque as Danville's teacher of the year. Mrs. Mabel Pritchett, English teacher, awarded an English key to ,T ack Clay, jun- ior, for superior work. Sue Davisson also received this award.
