HISTORY OF DANVILLE SCHOOLS Tracmg the hlstory of the school of Danvllle we f1nd the f1rst brrck school house was bu11t 1n 1829 The second school was a two story frame blllldlfg across from the old college bulldmg but th1s school burned 1n the fall of 1872 In 1900 another blllldlllg was erected north of theChr1st1an Church The present bulldlng was completed and occupied durlng Chrtstmas of 1928 and the new wmg was completed 1n 1948 except the band room whlch was fmrshed before Chrlstmas 1n 1949 The f1rst class that graduated from Dan v111e Hlgh School 1n 1880 conslsted of one student. In 1881 there were threegraduated and ID 1882 there were nrne Under construct1on at the present t1me IS a new blllldlfg whrch w111 be occupled by the hlgh school
