Danville's population of 38,985 wos o sure sign that our 541 freshmen, 555 sophomores, 388 juniors, and 498 Seniors wouldn't have anything to worry about. The school itself didn't change too much, but fads and fashions were a different story. They brought out the best of what was in style. The in list included Argyles, bandanas, and the layered look. Garfield, everyone's favorite fat cat, and our little blue friends the Smurfs were in, while Snoopy and PacMan went out . If you wore bell bottom pants and liked printed neckties you were a little out of if also. Believe it or not, certain foods could be in or out of style. The ins included salads, pitas, and stuffed pizza. The outs were quiche, hamburgers and french cooking. Short, punk hairstyles made the scenes at DHS accompanied by the craze of gels and creams to obtain the wet look. If that wasn't your style, long hair that was lightened or highlighted ranked in popularity. No matter what clothes you wore, foods you ate or hairstyles you exhibited, anyone attending Danville High showed promise and potential — INSIDE and OUT! IS IT WORTH MY TIME AND EFFORT?
