Q Q C. E. VANCE, Superintendent University of Illinois, A. B. Although Mr. Vance has been with us only a short time as superintend- ent, we already feel the great spirit with which he undertakes every act. He is back of our every move, our every project, always there to help. He is a true sportsman of the highest type and we can but follow his ex- ample. His loyalty and understand- ing has given him a permanent place in our hearts. J. E. WAKELEY, Assistant Principal fi - Wabash College, A. B., University .of Illinois, A. M. Since Mr. Wakeley's departure, we ' , have realized more than ever what an f influence for the best heis. His sin- cere sympathy and interest in every problem of the school are the out- standing factors that will cause us to remember him in the after-a-while. His untiring eiorts for the better- ment of D. H. S. and for the elimina- tion of those things which tend to tear down the old traditions, have written his name indelibly on the walls of our Hall of Fame. His labor has not been in vain! The spirit with which he worked spread to those with whom he came in contact. He made our days and hours happier and relieved us of our worries. How we wish we might do the same for him in helping him make a speedy re- covery! K A Page Thirteen
